This two storey house maximises the potential of a deep and narrow fronted, east-west cliff top site with extensive coastal views. To capture views at the narrow end of the site, wide expanses of glass framed by structural elements open up to the west. Open corner glazing, cantilevering floors, narrow slit windows and screening devices are attentively placed to capture specific seascapes, aided by the placement of car parking at the rear of the site.

The use of robust form and materials provide a low maintenance and secure structure for the occupants to enjoy a coastal lifestyle. The cantilevering upper floor provides shade to the lower openings in the extremities of summer.
